Antibacterial Products
Product Description
Description
Amoxicillin 14% and Clavulanate 3.5% suspension is used to treat certain infections caused by bacteria, including infections of the ears, lungs, sinuses, skin, and urinary tract. Amoxicillin belongs to a class of drugs called penicillin antibiotics. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. Clavulanic acid belongs to a class of drugs called beta-lactamase inhibitors. It works by preventing bacteria from destroying amoxicillin.
Antibiotics are not effective against colds, flu, or other viral infections. Using antibiotics when you don't need them increases your risk of infection later on with antibiotic treatment.
